Josephine Ann Lehman age 80, of Greenville passed away at 10:18 AM on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center in Greenville.
Josephine was born April 17, 1937, in Greenville to the late Ralph & L. Byrdine (Hunter) Byrd. In addition to her parents, Josephine was also preceded in death by her 1st husband, William Harold Barnett; 2nd husband, Donald B. Lehman; sister, Virginia Byrd Jones; and a niece, Chrissy Ellison.
Josephine is survived by her daughters & son-in-law, Melanie & Kerry Neargarder of Union City, Ohio and Stephanie Lehman of Greenville; grandchildren, Daniel & Brandy Neargarder, Melissa & Jason Good, Rebecca & Dan Shardo, Kayla & Josh Anguiano, Hope Neargarder and Paige Neargarder; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Chloe, Tryston, Danika, Kohen, Nathan, Cameron, Joshua and Jeremiah; sisters, Sue Byrd of Sun City Center, Florida and Carol Byrd of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Josephine was a homemaker. She was a member of Daystar Grace Brethren Church in Union City, Indiana.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, January 8, 2018, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Nick Philiposian officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 PM and Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart Care.
