Janice Ruth McLear (February 19, 2018)

Janice Ruth McLear, age 93, of Greenville, Ohio, and formerly of New Madison, Ohio, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 3:55 PM at Brookdale of Greenville. She was born on September 4, 1924 in Darke County, Ohio, to the late Lester & Florence Agler Geeting.

Ruth is survived by her children, Ronald McLear of Durham, NC, Robert McLear of Greenville, and Patricia McLear of Greenville; grandchildren, Justin McLear of Morganton, NC, Aaron (Amelia) McLear of San Francisco, CA, Adam (Sara) McLear of Tarpon Springs, FL, Jared (Mary) McLear of Greenville, and Walker McLear of Charlotte, NC; great grandchildren, Mollie, Ella, Emily, Maverick, and Declan McLear; sister, Iris (Geeting) Hathaway of Greenville, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Lowell McLear; son, Charles McLear; sister, Margaret Miller Drew; and brother, Wayne Geeting.

Ruth was a member of EUM Church in Greenville and was a nurse for 40 years, the majority of those years at Wayne Hospital. She loved growing flowers, gardening, making butterscotch pies for her grandchildren, and taking bus trips with Patricia after the death of her husband Lowell. She also enjoyed meeting with former colleagues from Wayne Hospital.

A service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio.

David Fridley, 76 of Arcanum, Ohio passed away on Tuesday February 20, 2018 at 7:57 AM at his residence. He was born February 14, 1942 in Darke County, Ohio the son of the late Paul & Glenna (Rurode) Fridley. He was a machinist at Hobart Brothers in Troy, Ohio and a member of the Eagles in Troy.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his son: Steven A. Erwin.

He is survived by his wife: Kathy (Hammond) Fridley of Arcanum; son & daughter in law: Mark & Karen Erwin of Independence, Kentucky; daughter in law: Betsy (Hole) Erwin of Greenville; grandchildren: Max Erwin, Joshua Erwin, Adam Erwin, & Molly Erwin; brother: Dale Fridley of Lewisburg; sister: Ethel Shaar of Lewisburg; numerous nieces & nephews.

Services will be Saturday February 24, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Debbie Baker officiating. Entombment will follow in Royal Oak Memorial Garden, Brookville, Ohio. Family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday at the funeral home.

Charles E. “Gene” Bowman (February 21, 2018)

Charles E. “Gene” Bowman, 89, passed away on February 21, 2018 at State of the Heart Care Center in Greenville.

Gene was born on August 10, 1928 in Greenville, the son of the late Russel and Ethel (Dickey) Bowman. In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Williams and two infant sisters.

Gene graduated from Greenville High School in 1946. Following his graduation, he enlisted in the Army and served in Korea. He was honorably discharged in January of 1948. He attended trade school in Chicago earning a certification in diesel mechanics. Gene retired from Dayton Power and Light in 1992 after 38 years of service. Gene was an avid wood worker, loved to travel and was also a 65-year member of the Greenville Masonic Lodge.

Gene is survived by his wife, of 67 years, Patricia (Kreider) Bowman, whom he married September 3, 1950; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Marsha Bowman; grandchildren, Sadie, Zane, and Wyatt; one great grandson; sisters, Phyllis Null, Cheryl (Mike) Cassagnol; and numerous nieces and nephews.

For the convenience of the family services and burial will be held at a later date.

The family has entrusted the arrangements to Tribute Funeral Homes in Greenville, Ohio.

John A. Randall, age 52 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 5:32 PM Saturday February 17, 2018 at The James Cancer Center Columbus, Ohio. John was born April 15, 1965 in Greenville and the son of Anne B. (Beynon) Randall of Greenville and the late Thomas Michael Randall.

John was a partner at the Randall Insurance Agency of Greenville. He loved and followed all types of sporting events, enjoyed music, particularly attending musical concerts and spending time with his family.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother William M. Randall.

Survivors in addition to his mother are his wife Annette (Bowman) Randall of Greenville. They were married October 7, 2000. Also son Zac Randall and Kara and Ella Strawn all of Greenville; step children Elijah Eby of Texas, Ashley (Jeremy) Worch of Richmond, Indiana and Ian Everett of Canada; grandchildren Addison Forrester and Carson Worch; brother Patrick D. (Cheri) Randall of Houston, Texas; nieces and nephews Shawn Randall, Nicole Randall, Ben Randall, Lauren Randall, Alec Randall and great nieces and great nephews Madison Randall, Jersee Randall, Jaxson Randall and Jazalynn Randall.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday February 28, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the convenience of the family in the Greenville funeral home with Pastor Peter Menke officiating. Burial will be held in the Greenville Cemetery.

It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to the Cancer Association of Darke County.

Ronald L. Puterbaugh, age 80 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 10:00 PM Tuesday February 20, 2018 in the Good Samaritan Hospital of Dayton. Ron was born February 12, 1938 in Arcanum, Ohio and the son of the late Leo (Soup) and Amee (Floyd) Puterbaugh.

Ron retired in 2006 from the former Treaty Company of Greenville where he had been employed for 37 years, starting his career there in February of 1979 as the Sales Manager. Prior to his employment at the Treaty Company he had worked at the former Duffy Hardware of Greenville.

He was a 1956 graduate of Arcanum High School and played on their State Championship Basketball Team the year of his graduation. Following high school, he went on to play college basketball at Miami University of Oxford. Ron was an avid Ohio State University sports fan and loved to play golf. He had been a member of the former Greenville Country Club, later the Turtle Creek and an active member of the “Geezers Golf Group”. During his career Ron found time to be active in the Darke County Chamber of Commerce and served as the President of the Chamber in 1977. He was also a member of the Greenville Masonic Lodge, the Antioch Shrine of Dayton, Darke County Shrine Club, the Darke County OSU Alumni Association, Greenville Elks Lodge and help with the Greenville Athletics as a PA Announcer for football games, track meets and wrestling matches. Ron was very active and loved spending time with his wife and all the family, particularly their grandchildren and when the weather permitted time at their lake home at Lake James.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife Marian “Marti” (Martin) Puterbaugh in 1984; grandson Keith Watson and brother-in-law Bill Stuart.

Ron is survived by his wife Deanna C. (Holsapple) Puterbaugh of Greenville. They were married May 10, 1985. Also children Nadasha “Pinky” (Dave) Flatter of Greenville, Robin (Tom) Watson of Abingdon, VA., Kelly Cox and Fiancé Cassandra Flory of Greenville and Amy (Mike) Good of Avon Lake, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister Barbara (Tom) Troutwine of Arcanum; sister-in-law Kay Stuart of Cardiff, CA., 1 niece, 2 nephews, 14 great nieces and nephews and his dog Sophie.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday February 26, 2018 in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Terry Cavanaugh officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12 Noon until time of the services in the funeral home. The Greenville Masonic Lodge will conduct a Masonic Memorial Service on Monday starting at 2:00 PM followed by the funeral services.

Mary Alice Back, 87, of New Madison, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018.

She was born on May 27, 1930 in Clay County, Kentucky to Eli Bony and Chloe (Smith) Tompkins.

Mary retired from Perfect Circle / Dana Corporation in Richmond. She enjoyed fishing,and working in the yard.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, James Back, in 2000; her son, Larry Back; her brother, Albert Tompkins; and her sisters, Bessie, Dora, Annalee, and Esther.

Mary is survived by her son and daughter-in-law; Donald (Barbara) Back of New Madison; her grandchildren, Jimmy (Amy) Back of New Madison, Jessica Back (Sean Mote) of New Madison; Josh Back of Greenville; Chris Back of New Madison, Angela (Byron) Brinley of Middletown, Ohio; her great grandchildren,Colten, Hannah, Holly, Wyatt, Taylor, Levi, Brandon, and Aaron; her great-great grandchildren, Judah and Havalea; her brothers, Lester (Meredith) Tompkins of Newberg, OR, E.B. Wallace R. "Jack" Seiber, 91, of Greenville, passed away on February 22, 2018 at State of the Heart Care Center In Greenville.

Jack was born on November 15, 1926 in Harlan, Kentucky, the son of the late Robert and Lola (Hill) Seiber.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn A. Seiber; his siblings, Randall Seiber, Thomas Seiber, Margaret Toops, and Bobbie Elam.

Jack served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy, during the WWII Pacific Campaign, aboard the USS Downes. He served the city of Greenville as a police officer for 10 years, then became the Juvenile Probation officer for Darke County. Jack was a member of the Greenville Missionary Church.

Jack is survived by his children, Glenda Chumney of Columbia, South Carolina, Michael Seiber of Ferris, Texas, Rebecca (Robert) Floyd of Greenville, Peggy (Robin) Cabe of Canton, Georgia; 5 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; his brother, Harry Seiber of Marion, Ohio; his sister and brother-in-law, Ella (Richard) Worthington of Greenville; several nieces and nephews.

It was Jack's wishes to be cremated and buried at sea.

Joseph Paul Martino age 82, of Greenville passed away at 1:30 AM on Friday, February 23, 2018, at his residence.

Joseph was born January 11, 1936, in Frenchtown to the late George Leonard & Eleanor Lenore Mary (Magoto) Martino. In addition to his parents, Joseph was also preceded in death by his brothers, Rodney, Robert, Ed and Tom Martino.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Carrol K. (Cool) Martino whom he married June 26, 1964; children, Anita Kay Hart of Greenville, Brenda Jo & Tim Brumbaugh of Greenville, Carla Sue & Loyd Wolfe of Greenville and Joseph Patrick & Melinda Martino of Greenville; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Rita Myers of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joseph served in the U.S. Army. He retired after 30 years from Shraders Inc. where he was a retreader. Joseph was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus in Greenville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church 233 West Third St. Greenville with Rev. Fr. John R. White celebrant. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Garden in Darke County. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville. Military honors will be conducted by the Greenville Veteran’s Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Association of Darke County or St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Susan J. Hora, 66, of Lewisburg, Ohio, passed away February 23, 2018 at Miami Valley Hospital, in Dayton, surrounded by her family.

She was born August 4, 1951 in Greenville, the daughter of Carol (Moses) Royer of Arcanum and the late Melvin Royer.

In addition to her father, Susan was preceded in death by one grandchild.

In addition to her mother, Susan is survived by her husband of 28 years, Robert J. "Bob" Hora, whom she married March 31, 1989. Also surviving are her three sons, Brian (Kelly) Derr of Eldorado, Steven (Gail) Derr of Eaton, and Eric (Tesa) Derr of New Paris; two sisters Linda (James) Benham of Richmond, and Kathryn (Terry) Roberts of Arcanum; one brother David (Kathryn) Royer of Greenville; her grandchildren; a great grandson; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Susan graduated from Tri-Village High School in 1969. During high school she found a job at Stuarts Dress Shop. She then moved on to Wayne Works, the Preble County Courthouse, and the optometry offices of Dr. Schuman and Dr. McLear. In 2011 she earned a Master Certified EMIS Professional certificate from Ashland University. She was dedicated to her job as Administrative Assistant and EMIS Coordinator at National Trail Local High School.

Susan was a woman of faith and loved her Lord. She loved her family unconditionally and considered them God’s greatest blessing. Everything she did involved her family. She enjoyed family dinners, family vacations, gardening, pool time, campfires, calico cats, lobster tails, crab legs, and homemade ice cream. During her lifetime, she opened her home and heart to many others, treating them like family. Nothing made her happier than to grow a garden, can it, and give it away.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 4 PM to 7 PM at Castine Church of the Brethren located at 624 US-127 Arcanum, OH 45304.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 11 AM at Castine Church of the Brethren with Pastor Steve Whalen officiating. Burial will follow at Greenmound Cemetery in New Madison.

Thomas Ernest Crandall age 43, of Bradford died Sunday, February 25, 2018, with his wife and two daughters by his side at his residence.

“Tom” was born June 9, 1974, in Fort Madison, Iowa. Tom was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Elizabeth Crandall, Ernest and Argentina Ciancarelli and Robert Cramblit.

Tom is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife, Jennifer (Jenny) whom he married September 17, 1994 and an amazing Dad to two daughters, Katie of Greenville and Kelsey of Bradford. He is survived by his parents, Dale and Theresa Crandall of Greenville and Susan Becker of Wever, IA. Also surviving are sisters, Mary (Chris) Snyder of Bernardsville, NJ, Alicia (Scott) Crandall of Missoula, MT, Desiree Fedler of Fort Madison, IA, Amy (Jeremy) Sheaffer of Ankeny, IA; brother, Aaron (Rae) Fedler of Lowell, IA; father and mother-in-law, Michael and Linda Rhoades of Union City; sister-in-law, Jill (Gary) Gehret of Yorkshire; nieces, Jessica Snyder and Paige Gehret; nephews, Isaac and Ian Gehret, Matthew and Nicholas Snyder, Jaydn Fedler and Javean Davis; and grandmothers, Bernadette Cramblit, Sue Christian and Mary Valentine.

Tom graduated from Greenville High School in 1992. He worked at Greenville Technology Inc. for nearly 25 devoted years. He was a 4H advisor for Darke Co. 4H Beef Club.

Tom was a wonderful loving husband and father, who cherished his wife and daughters above all. He was a kind and gentle spirited man. He was a good friend and mentor to many, with a great sense of humor.

Tom showed great courage in a short but valiant fight against cancer. He left this world in such an amazing way.

He was a city boy drug to the country. He took great pride and effort in showing Beef Show Cattle with his wife and daughters. Anyone who knew Tom will greatly miss him.

A celebration of Tom’s amazing life will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor David Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Gettysburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Oma Eileen McNutt, age 86, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at 1:30 AM at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. She was born on June 22, 1931 in Harrison Township, Ohio, to the late Albert & Ruth (Eubanks) Hetzler.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Andrew Melbo) Dapore of Greenville; sons and daughter in law, Rod & Deb (Fornshil) McNutt of Wayne Lakes, Ohio, and Wayne (Cheryl West) McNutt of Greenville; grandchildren, Kirk McNutt, Kelli Brown, Kevin McNutt, Jermey Godown, Greg Godown, Maggie Salem, Jamie Welch, Adam Dapore, Brenda Borgerding and Kathy Arden; 38 great grandchildren; 30 great great grandchildren; brother, Gary Hetzler of Tennessee; sister, Karen Coppock of Arcanum; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard McNutt; infant granddaughter McNutt; sisters, Phyllis A. Shell and Alice Hale; son in law, Ed Dapore; daughters in law, Mary Louise McNutt and Cheryl McNutt; as well as numerous brothers in law and sisters in law.

Oma retired from Ed Cornell’s in Greenville after 31 years of service. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Greenville where she was involved with the Women’s Gild.

There will be a service held on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Rev. Dr. Jim Vandermark officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery, Greenville, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

Terra Ann Hodge, 33 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Monday February 26, 2018 at 4:47 AM as the result of an automobile accident. She was born September 29, 1984 in Greenville, Ohio the daughter of Barbara (Godwin) Hodge of Greenville and the late Jerry Hodge.

She is preceded in death by her father; and her grandparents: Jeff & Ava Hodge.

She is survived by her mother: Barbara of Greenville; her children: Daniel Sanchez, Dezman Hall, & Deon Hall; grandmother: Lucille Ashley of Celina; sister: Crystal Nunley of Cincinnati; brothers: Jeremy S. Hodge of Greenville, Uriah Hodge of Greenville; nieces & nephews: Jordan Davis, Justyce Davis, Alexis, Hannah, Devin, & Espen Hodge; aunts & uncles: Carol Wiler of Greenville, Ralph Godwin of Ansonia, Dale Godwin of Celina, Clarence Godwin of Greenville, Richard Godwin of Greenville, Terry Hodge; cousin: Dwain Hodge; best friends: Julia Frye, Andrea Gabbard; numerous cousins.

Services will be held on Monday March 5, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Burial will be held at Brock Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family to help offset the funeral expenses.

Ramon Gonzalez Zúñiga, age 71, of Greenville Ohio and formerly of Jala Nayarit Mexico passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 10:23 AM at his residence. He was born September 1, 1946 the son of Lorenzo González Chavez and Francisca Zúñiga Espinoza.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years Bethany Henninger Gonzalez of Greenville; sons, Justin (Jess) Gonzalez of Greenville, Jeremy (Jessica) Gonzalez of Greenville and Nathan (Jackie) Mancillas of Greenville; daughter, Angelita Solis of Cincinnati; special nephew, Sergio (Karina) Villareal Gonzalez of Jala Nayarit Mexico; 13 grandchildren; as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Ramon is preceded in death by his sons, Tani Gonzalez and Matthew Mancillas; brothers, José Guadalupe and Vicente Gonzalez Zúñiga; sisters, Marcelina González Zúñiga and Francisca Gonzalez Zuniga of Mexico; mother and father-in-law Margery and Joseph Henninger.

Ramon worked at FPE for 30+ years. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was known for his wonderful smile, polite manners and funny personality.

There will be a private viewing for family and closest friends at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville.

John Warth, 84, of New Paris, passed away on March 1, 2018 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana.

John was born on August 12, 1933 in Georgetown, Kentucky, the son of the late James and Myrtle (Morris) Warth.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife, Carole (Holsapple) Warth; and his brothers, James and Gene Warth.

John served his country honorably in the United States Air Force from June 16, 1958 until August 15, 1962. He was employed as an air traffic controller in Indiana and Michigan, and then was employed at Belden in Richmond from 1968 until retirement in 1995. John enjoyed watching horse races, sports and loved his cats and dogs.

John is survived by his sisters-in-law, Shirley J. Warth of Richmond, Indiana, and Helen (Holsapple) Roberts and William Clark, both of Eldorado; his nieces, Sherryl (Warth) Nuzum of Kennesaw, Georgia, and Deborah (Warth) Van Winkle of Hagerstown, Indiana; his nephews, Jeffrey Warth of Richmond, Indiana, and Timothy Warth of Florida; and several great nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at Tribute Funeral Homes, New Madison Campus, with Rev. Eric Fee officiating. Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery.

Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 11 AM to 1 PM, at the funeral home.

Willow Renée Billenstein 3 month old daughter of Justin & Mandy (Reynolds) Billenstein of Versailles passed away at 1:15 PM on Thursday, March 1, 2018, in the ER at Wayne HealthCare in Greenville. Willow was born November 16, 2017, in Greenville.

In addition to her parents, Willow is also survived by her brothers, Hayden and Carter Billenstein; paternal grandparents, Michelle & Kevin Quinn of Versailles and Cary Billenstein of Red Oak, Texas; maternal grandparents, Amy & David Pearson of Greenville and Ken Reynolds of Greenville; paternal great-grandparents, John & Shirley Huddle of Versailles and Wanda & Leroy Billenstein of North Star; and maternal great-grandparents, Lois & Eldean Shelley of Fairfield Glade, Tennessee, Greg Reynolds of Greenville and Jim & Janet Pearson of Greenville.

Willow was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandmother, Shirley Reynolds.

A celebration of Willow’s life will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor Derek Specht officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Willard Bulcher age 94, of Versailles passed away at 6:48 PM on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at his residence.

Willard was born June 25, 1923, in Frenchtown to the late Peter & Stella (Goubeaux) Bulcher. In addition to his parents Willard was also preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Norma (Paulus) Bulcher on November 15, 2002, whom he married August 25, 1945 and all of his siblings.

Willard is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Linda & Jack Laux of Greenville; grandchildren, Shane & Julia Laux, Jason & Kelly Laux and Brian & Melissa Laux; and great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Willard served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Willard retired from well drilling and farming. His passion was designing and building lawn mowers, 3 & 4 wheeled carts and trailers.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor Chris Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Versailles. Condolences for the family may be expressed through www.zecharbailey.com

Carol Ann Nutter, 78, of Pleasant Hill, Ohio, passed away March 2, 2018 at her residence.

She was born July 27, 1939 in Preble County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Calvin and Hilda (Brower) Cheek.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Nutter in 2014.

Carol is survived by her children and their spouses, Raymond (Linda) Nutter of Englewood, Ohio, Gatha (Bill) Thompson of Albany, Kentucky, and Debra (Doran) Garber of Spokane, Washington; her grandchildren, Sean Haynes, Charity Haynes, Samantha Nutter, Collin Nutter, Eli Garber, and Erin Garber; her great grandson, Colton Irwin; her brothers and sisters-in-law, David (Patricia) Cheek of Ponca City, Oklahoma, and Malcom (Barbara) Cheek of Madisonville, Kentucky; her sisters and brother-in-law, Betty (Lowell) Schleinitz of Pleasant Hill, Ohio, and Barbara Mummert of Lima, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Carol was a member of Cedar Grove Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed attending bible study classes and spending quality time with her family.

Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Carol Jane Gantt age 72, of Greenville passed away at 9:12 PM on Friday, March 2, 2018, at Wayne HealthCare in Greenville.

Carol was born August 29, 1945, in Greenville to the late Wilbur Joseph & Thelma Mae (Colby) Batten. In addition to her parents, Carol was also preceded in death by a sister, Jeanie Smith; and brother, Phillip Baker.

Carol is survived by her children, Kirk Gantt of Bradford, Davey & Cindy Gantt of Bradford, Todd Gantt of Union City, Indiana, Mark Gantt of Union City, Indiana, Wendy & Gary Canan of Bradford and Justin Gantt of Greenville; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sharky Brock of Greenville, Joanie & Jerry Brown of Greenville and Rita Bruns of Lima; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marilyn J. Emmons age 77, of Greenville passed away at 1:34 PM on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center in Greenville.

Marilyn was born June 6, 1940, in Greenville to the late Hubert W. & Mary Anna (Yoder) Robbins. Marilyn was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jim Rench; granddaughter, Sabrina Miller; and a brother, Dale S. Robbins.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Dwight Emmons whom she married July 10, 1999; children, Cheryl L. & Wayne Burton of Tennessee, Lisa M. Rench of Arcanum and Beth L. & Jon Waggamon of Eaton; step-children, Cheryl L. Emmons of Arcanum, Linda J. Hunt of California and Jeffrey A. & Judy Emmons of Nashport; grandchildren, Justin, Karrie, Chelsea, Kristy, Ron, Ginni, Emily and David; brother, Richard Robbins of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marilyn retired from Fram/Honeywell in Greenville and was working at the Cancer Association of Darke County. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Greenville, BPW, Greenville V.F.W. Post 7262 Ladies Auxiliary, Greenville Elks and Eagles.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Curt Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Dixie J. Clark age 59, of Greenville passed away at 10:55 PM on Friday, March 2, 2018, at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana.

Dixie was born December 22, 1958, in Greenville to Robert “Bob” Melling of Greenville and the late Barbara (Varvel) Melling. In addition to her mother, Dixie was also preceded in death by a grandson, Donald Head; and a granddaughter, Mackenzie Clark.

Dixie was survived by her children, James “JJ” Clark & Sarah Erbaugh of Greenville, Amy Clark & James Head of Greenville, Krystal Lewis & Tyler Hoisington of Greenville and Nikki Clark & Caleb Duncan of Greenville; 17 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Neva & Mitch Herron of St. Marys, Phyllis & John Riegle of Pitsburg, Cathy Melling of Greenville and Robin Melling of Piqua; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Dixie’s life will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, March 9, 2018, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Jim Morehouse Minister, officiating.
