Pearl Esther King, age 91, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 3:00 PM at the Oakley House, Greenville, Ohio. She was born on August 13, 1923 in Phillipsburg, Ohio, to the late Lee & Ada (Miller) Garber.

She is survived by her sons and daughter in law, Philip J. & Rebecca King of Greenville and Kenneth E. King of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Jill Flory, Deborah Flora and Jordan King; great grandchildren, Emma Flory, Renae Flora, Tucker Flora, Larke Flory and Becca Flory; sisters and brother in law, Treva & George Flora of Brookville, Gladys & Merle Benedict of Greenville, Wilma & Everett Brubaker of Brookville and Betty & Harvey Bowman of Brookville; sister in law, Helen Garber of Union, Ohio; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. King whom she married on May 18, 1941; grandson, Bradley King; daughter in law, Donna King; brother, Richard Garber; and sisters, Margaret Lesh and Mable Flora.

Pearl was a homemaker and a member of the Old German Baptist Church.

There will be a service held on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Miller Grove Old German Baptist Church near Palestine, Ohio, with the Home Brethren officiating. Burial will follow in the Miller Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Monday, December 8, 2014 from 3-5 PM and 6-8 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio.

Julie Edsall, age 51, of Gettysburg, Ohio, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. She was born on June 29, 1963 in Alton, Illinois, to Norma (Juergensen) Arnetz of Dayton, Ohio, and the late Delbert Edsall.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Tyler & Megan Algeo of Maryland; daughter, Angelica Algeo of Maryland; grandchildren, Logan & Chloe Algeo and Brycen & Kacyn Skidmore; siblings, Sara, Katie, Dana, Roger, Mary, Nancee, Regan, Joe and John; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father she is preceded in death by her son, Billy Joe Skidmore and brother, David Edsall.

There will be a service held on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Burial will follow in the Gettysburg Cemetery, Gettysburg, Ohio. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

John E. Nickol, age 81, of Versailles, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 10:50 AM at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. He was born on July 30, 1933 in Versailles, Ohio, to the late Edwin H. & Mary A. (Printz) Nickol.

He is survived by his wife Ramona June (Lanich) Nickol of Versailles, Ohio whom he married on June 15, 1953; daughters, Penny (Doug) Zirkle of St. Paris, Ohio, and Johna (Chuck) Hemmelgarn of North Star, Ohio; sons, Kelly Nickol of Versailles and Larry (Rocky) Nickol of Indianapolis, Indiana; grandchildren, Ashley (Gina) Zirkle, Lee (Denise) Hemmelgarn, Lindsay (Michael) Costlow, Jay (Kendra) Hemmelgarn and Beau (Gina) Hemmelgarn; great grandchildren, Teagan, Anna, Mason, Julia, Naomi, Desmond, Ian and Alex; brothers & sisters in law, Fred (Iris) Nickol of Versailles, Ramon (Rosie) Nickol of Versailles, Van (Marie) Nickol of Tucson, Arizona, and Peggy Nickol of Tucson, Arizona; sisters and brother in law, Miriam (Ed) Paulus of Norman, Oklahoma, and Myrna Gigandet of Versailles; sister in law, Hazel Nickol of Versailles; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his infant daughter, Wendy Kay Nickol; brothers, Edwin and Neil Nickol; infant sister, Margie Nickol; brothers in law, Delaine Gehle and Norman Gigandet.

John was a member of the United States Army. John was a Memorial Craftsman and a member of the Eagles in Versailles, Versailles United Methodist Church, Vets Club, Amateur Trap Shooting Association and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He was the president of the Greenlawn Cemetery Board for 40 years and loved to hunt and fish.

There will be a service held on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio, with Pastor Chuck MacKeen officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Versailles, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Monday, December 8, 2014 from 4-8 PM at the funeral home as well as one hour prior to the service.

It is the wishes of the family that the memorial contributions are given to the Darke County Humane Society or the Versailles Emergency Medical Services.

Jeanne Withrow Barr, age 89 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 8:10 P.M. Saturday December 6, 2014 at the Village Green Nursing Home Greenville, Ohio. Jeanne was born April 14, 1925 in Darke County, Ohio and the daughter of the late Harold A. & Olive (Dull) Withrow.

Jeanne retired in 1972 as the former co-owner with her husband John of the Greenville Machine & Tool Company.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Greenville, a former member of the Greenville V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary of Greenville, was the former Music Director at the Nashville Methodist Church and had been Soloist for the Girls Glee Club in Dayton. Jeanne especially enjoyed spending time with her family and watching sporting events.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John A. Barr February 14, 2003; grandchildren Shannon Renee Barr and Joseph C. Sink; son in law Larry Sink; brother Harold (Beatrice) Withrow Jr.; sisters Helen W. (Hayward) Geddes and Martha L. (Harold) Deeter,; brothers in law Jacob W. (Mary Louise) Barr, Forrest (Juanita) Barr and Lawrence E. (Evelyn) Barr.

Jeanne is survived by her children Marilyn A. “Becky” (Larry) Ellis of Greenville, Cindy L. Sink of Rossburg, Joseph W. (Tracy) Barr of New Madison, John M. (Diana) Barr of Lewisburg and Elisa B. (Gary) Besecker of Greenville; 16 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; brother in law Robert M. (Phyllis) Barr of Jamestown and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday December 12, 2014 in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Chaplain Candi Null officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenmound Cemetery New Madison, Ohio.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home.

Richard C. “Dick” Francis, age 70, of Versailles, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at 3:50 PM at his residence. He was born on January 5, 1944 in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Carl & Amelia (Simon) Francis.

He is survived by his wife, Carol (Mescher) Francis of Versailles, Ohio, whom he married on July 25, 1992; son and daughter in law, Jeff & Angie Francis of Versailles; daughters and sons in law, Julie & Matt Traver of Findlay, Ohio, and Carrie & Ken Schoen of Ft. Recovery, Ohio; grandchildren, Ethan, Owen, Ava, Ella and Nora Schoen, Anne Traver, Kelsey, Ross and Collin Francis; mother in law, Sally Mescher of Versailles; brother, John Francis of Athens, Ohio; sisters and brother in law, Linda & James Davidson of Versailles and Connie Droesch of Versailles; as well as extended family members of the Wehrkamp, Mescher and Francis families.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife, Jane Francis; daughters, Laurie Ann Francis and Allyson Mescher; brother, Lawrence “Larry” Francis; infant sister, Mary Rose Francis; sister in law, Jan Francis; brother in law, Ralph Droesch; father and mother in law, Ernest “Slim” & Mary Jean Wehrkamp; and father in law, Ralph Mescher.

Dick worked as the Part’s Manager at Willowdell Sales as well as part time at Lefeld Implement. He was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church and an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid sports fan especially watching his kids and grandkids play. He enjoyed playing softball, played baseball for the Western Ohio League, he enjoyed watching the Reds and loved yard work.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 10:30 AM at St. Denis Catholic Church, Versailles, Ohio, with Rev. Fr. Ron Haft celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery, North Star, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 from 2-8 PM at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio, as well as from 9-10 Thursday at the funeral home.

John Wendell Spidel, 77, of Bonita Springs, Florida and Maumee, Ohio passed away on December 3, 2014 at Avow Hospice in Naples, Florida.

John was born in Greenville, Ohio on March 11, 1937. He was Proceeded in death by his parents Sarah (Dohme) and Wilbur D. Spidel; Sisters, Gretchen K. Pequignot and Collette S. Eikenberry; Brothers in law, Nils G. Eikenberry and John R. Lynch.

He is survived by the love of his life, Jane Lynch Spidel, whom he married on September 4, 1960, and lovingly called Janie; cherished children, Daughter, Susan Lynne Spidel and husband Jim Wiginton and Son, Douglas Alan Spidel and wife Mara; his precious grandchildren whom he adored, Jordan Elizabeth Spidel, John Robert Spidel and Jade Elise Spidel; Brothers, George J. Spidel and wife Kathy, David L. Spidel and wife Mariette, and Wilbur D. Spidel II (Sam); Sister in law, Lianne J Spidel; and Brothers in law, Robert H. Pequignot and Don D. Lynch and wife Nadine, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

John graduated in the class of 1955 from Greenville High School. He was quarterback of the undefeated 1954 M.V.L. football team and also played on the 1955 M.V.L. championship basketball team. He was awarded MVP in both sports for his efforts. John also earned All League and All State honors in both football and basketball.

John followed his father’s footsteps to The University of Michigan where he received his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and his M.B.A. While at Michigan, John continued to excel in athletics earning his numerals in freshman basketball and lettering 3 years in football. He was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and Druids Honorary Society. John remained an “M Man” all of his life and was a loyal member of The University of Michigan Letter winners M Club and the Victors Club.

Following graduation, John served in the United States Marine Corp Reserves for 6 years.

John started his business career with Dow Chemical Company in Midland, Michigan and was later transferred to Boston. He then moved to New York City and spent 3 years there. John returned home to Greenville, Ohio in 1966 and began his nearly 30 year career with American Aggregates Corporation. He retired in 1993 as Vice President of Administration and was a member of the Board of Directors.

John sat on the Greenville City Board of Education and the board of the Darke County YMCA, serving both organizations as a member and President. He was also a member of the Greenville Toastmasters.

John was a life long member of St Paul’s Lutheran Church. He served on the Church council as a member and President and was a key member of the evangelism committee. He was also instrumental in the formation of the St Paul’s Lutheran Church endowment fund.

John was a loving son, husband, father, brother and grandfather, a loyal friend, an exemplary citizen, a faithful member to his church, an honest man and a true gentleman. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Services for John will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, December 13, 2014 in St Paul’s Lutheran Church 131 East Fourth Street Greenville, Ohio. Pastor Peter B. Menke will preside and graveside burial will immediately follow in Greenville Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. on Friday, December 12 at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio and on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until time of the services in the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to The John W. Spidel Memorial Fund for football safety equipment C/O Greenville City Schools, St. Clair Memorial Hall, 215 West Fourth Street, Greenville, Ohio 45331 or St Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Lester E. Ward Jr., 92 of Versailles, Ohio passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday December 10, 2014 at 6:35 AM. He was born September 17, 1922 in Centerville, Indiana the son of the late Lester E. & Helen Marie (Killen) Ward Sr.

He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II where he was a Prisoner of War and received the Purple Heart. He was a farmer.

He was a member of the Greenville American Legion Post #140, Greenville V.F.W., the American Chianina Association, the Ohio Chianina Association, the Darke County Cattlemen’s Association, & a Board Member of the Ohio Farm Bureau, a Member of the Darke County School Board, a Member of the Montgomery County JVS Board; he received numerous Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Awards; the Who’s Who Award, numerous Herdsman Awards, numerous Government Certificates, & numerous Government Recognitions.

He is preceded in death by his parents; & sister: Mary Cummins.

He is survived by his wife: Marlene N. (Bowman) Ward of Versailles; his children & spouses: Leslie E. & Debra Ward of Versailles, Roger K. & Danna Miller of Beamsville; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; brother & sister in law: Donald & Joann Ward of Richmond, Indiana; sisters & brothers in law: Jeraldine Osborne of Richmond, Indiana, Rozella & Eddie Garrett of Richmond, Indiana, Glenda & John Keller of Richmond, Indiana.

Services will be held on Monday December 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Rev. Ted McCurdy officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday December 14, 2014 and 1 hour prior to services on Monday at the funeral home. Veterans Graveside Services will be conducted by the Versailles Veterans Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wayne Healthcare Cancer Center or State of the Heart Hospice.

Byron “Dean” Curtis, 82 of New Madison, Ohio passed away on Wednesday December 10, 2014 at 12:48 PM at Village Green Care Center, Greenville, Ohio. He was born September 1, 1932 in Pleasant Hill, Ohio the son of the late Roy & Media Curtis. He retired from Fram Corp. after 42 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Doris G. Curtis on August 31, 2012; 2 brothers; 7 sisters; & 1 ½ brother.

He is survived by his children & spouses: Marta Curtis of New Madison, Teresa Newbauer of New Madison, Joseph & Valerie Curtis of New Madison, & Raezean & David Johnson of Maryville, Tennessee; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister: Barbara Trissel of Piqua; & numerous nieces & nephews.

He was born January 16, 1947 in Greenville, Ohio the son of the late Edwin “Jiggs” & Mary Jane (Treon) Griesdorn. He retired From General Motors Department 32 after 32 years.

He was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church, Versailles Eagles, & a Social member of The Versailles Vets Club.

Phillip Darrell Stilts, November 24, 1937 - December 11, 2014 age 77 years 17 days passed away at 9:43 AM on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at West Chester Hospital in West Chester, Ohio. Phil was born November 24, 1937 in Union City, Ohio to the late Nellie Gertrude (Resor) Stilts.

Phil serviced in the Marine Corp from 1955-1961 and worked at Tate Manufacturing, Shellar Globe, New Idea, & Corning Glass. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Greenville.

Phil is survived by his wife of 51 years Marlene (Schafer) Stilts whom he married June 9, 1963. Their children are Cheryl (Stilts) Peters & husband Jeff Peters of Greenville, Brian & Christine Stilts of West Chester, Ohio; grandchildren are Corey Stilts, Whitley Hartman, Jacob Stilts, Zachary Stilts, Miera Stilts, Brittany Peters, Drake Peters, & Jessica Peters; sisters & brothers in law: Beverly & Dick Key & Sharon Redfern; & numerous nieces & nephews.

Services will be held on Tuesday December 16, 2014 at 12:00 PM at St. John Lutheran Church, 7418 State Route 121 N Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Patti Morelock officiating. Harold D. Oda, 78 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Sunday December 14, 2014 at 7:22 AM at Cypress Pointe Care Center, Englewood, Ohio. He was born July 12, 1936 in Darke County, Ohio the son of the late Joseph C. & Dessie M. (Gentner) Oda. He served in the National Guard and worked at Fort Recovery Industries in the Maintenance Department.

He was a Member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church where he served on church council for 12 years and also St. Paul Lutheran Church; Greenville Eagles.

He is preceded in death by his parents; & his brother: Richard Oda.

He is survived by his children: Joseph Oda of Covington, Ohio, & Danielle M. Oda of Piqua, Ohio; grandchildren: Kyle Oda, Dillon Oda, Presley Oda, & Jacob Sowry; sisters: Mary Rue of Coldwater, Ohio, Dorothy Long of Tampa, Florida.

Services will be held on Friday December 19, 2014 at 10:30 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 131 East Fourth Street, Greenville, Ohio with Rev. Peter Menke officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday December 18, 2014 at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Theodore Emerson Sprowl, 31, of Greenville, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014, at his residence.

He was born on May 17, 1983, in Greenville Ohio, son of Robert Gene Sprowl and Michelle Diane (Richards) Sprowl. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lester and Peggy Richards, and Leroy Sprowl.

Theodore was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Bradford OH, past poster child for Muscular Dystrophy Association, and he had received the Wright Patt young hero award.

He is survived by his parents; step dad, Scott Wages; step mom, Amy Sprowl; a brother, Nathaniel Sprowl; step brothers, Shane and Shawn Sprowl; grandmother, Barbara (Richard) Miller; step grandmother, Pam Brooks; special “Adoptive Grandmother”, Christine Swank; numerous aunt, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial services will be held at a later date for the convenience of the family. The family request that memorial contributions be given to the Ronald McDonald House, 711 East Livingston Ave., Columbus, Ohio 45205

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Doris J. (Baker) Brewer whom he married on August 21, 1951; and son, Terry Brewer.

Floyd is a member of Stelvideo Christian Church and Darke County Sheriff’s Auxiliary. He worked at the Dairy Maid, American Aggregates, then retiring from the Greenville City School System. He raised Beef Cattle and was a foster parent for 26 years parenting 62 kids. He loved dogs and was a supporter of the Buckeye Sheriff’s Association.

There will be a service held on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Burial will follow in the Stelvideo Cemetery, Stelvideo, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.

It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions be given to the Darke County Humane Society or Gettysburg Rescue Squad.

Edith E. Cool age 90, of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 6:57 A.M. on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Greenville. Edith was born February 16, 1924 in Ansonia, Ohio to the late Harold E. & Eleanor (Boyd) Schmidt.

Edith is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, T.J. & Betsy Cool of Troy; daughters & sons-in-law, Connie & Charlie Swartz of Mocksville, North Carolina and Carrol & Joe Martino of Greenville; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother & sister-in-law, Don & Lynette Schmidt of West Alexander; sister & brother-in-law, Judy & Richard Schmidt of Lewisburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Edith is also preceded in death by her husband, Ray E. Cool on July 9, 1989 whom she married July 18, 1941; son, Thomas R. Cool; sister, Kay Frazee; and brother, Charles Schmidt.

Edith worked at Iddings Hardware in Greenville where she was a sales clerk. Edith was a member of the Greenville Senior Citizens and loved to play bingo.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 26, 2014 from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville immediately followed by a graveside service at Greenville Township Memorial Gardens with Rev. Ted Williams, age 97 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 6:25 P.M. Sunday December 21, 2014 at the Brethren Retirement Community Greenville, Ohio. Ted was born September 11, 1917 in Greenville, Ohio where he lived his entire life and the son of the late J. Lendall and Louise Williams.

He was a veteran of W.W. II serving in the U.S. Army, authored several books, some of which were written when he was in his eighties and had a life-long love affair with golf and was a former Greenville City Champion.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ondalee (Fisher) Williams July of 1999.

Ted was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by two sons: Ted (Sally) Williams Jr. of Kettering and Joel (Karen) Williams of Centerville; two grandchildren Stacey Shook and Brad Williams, along with four great grandchildren.

Private family services will be held at the convenience of the family in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Chaplain Todd Reish officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery.

It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to the Brethren Retirement Community Resident’s Aid Fund.

John H. Toops, 90, of Greenville, formerly of Arcanum, passed away early Sunday morning, December 21, 2014 at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center.

He was born May 9, 1924 in West Alexandria, Ohio , son of the late Andrew and Icy (Bennett) Toops. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Irene (Beasley) Toops who passed away January 29, 2005; and 12 brothers and sisters

John had owned a family business, the Arcanum Bakery, member of the Castine Church of the Brethren, lifetime member of the VFW in Arcanum, and served in the United States Navy during WWII.

He is survived by his children, Gary (Shirley) Toops of Middleburg, FL, Patricia (Terry) Baker of Greenville, Jill (Doug) Rauscher of Arcanum; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.

Services will be held 10 AM, Saturday, December 27, at the Castine Church of the Brethren, 644 US 127 Arcanum, OH with the Pastor Gary Cloyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Arlington Cemetery near Brookville.

The family will receive friends Friday, from 5 to 7 PM at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville, and again an hour before the service at the Church. In lieu of the flowers memorials be given to State of the Heart Hospice, 1350 N. Broadway, Greenville, Ohio 45331

Martha Mong age 96, of Columbus, Ohio and formerly of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 1:25 A.M. on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Willow Brook Christian Communities in Columbus, Ohio. Martha was born December 15, 1918 in Greenville, Ohio to the late Richard & Hazel (Barry) Mannix.

Martha is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Dennis & Paula Mong of Columbus; daughters & son-in-law, Gloria Brubaker of Powell and Barbara & Gary Hill of Pitsburg; grandchildren, David & Jeniffer Brubaker, Stephanie & Joe Humenay, Christine & Rusty Chapman, Molly & Brian Ring, Brian Mong, Adam Mong, Kevin Mong and Sarah & Luke Powell; and great-grandchildren, Allie Humenay, Emma Humenay, Connor Humenay, Jack Humenay, Tyson Chapman, Ryan Chapman, Brody Chapman, Landon Ring and Avery Ring.

In addition to her parents, Martha was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Mong; son, D. Robert Mong; brother, Michael Mannix; and sisters, Patricia and Catherine Mannix.

Martha was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenville and St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Columbus.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the convenience of the family with Rev. Fr. Ron Haft celebrant. Burial will be in the Greenville Cemetery in Greenville. Evelyn Emma Hall “Grandma” age 97, of Greenville passed away peacefully with her family at her side at 3:29 A.M. on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Village Green Healthcare Center in Greenville. Evelyn was born January 3, 1917 in Darke County to the late Alonzo & Dora (Hunt) Holsopple.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Lois J. & Wilbur Hoblit of Greenville; son, Larry K. Hall & special friend, Kelly of Kettering; grandchildren, Wayne Hoblit, Elaine & Junior Cotterman, Scott & Sherry Hall and Steve & Annette Hall; great-grandsons, Brian, Erick, Jeremy, Adam, Tyler & Aaron; brother, Ronnie Holsopple of Greenville; sister, Betty Vietor of Greenville; and the love of her life, her dog, Snuggles.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Hall on July 25, 2006 whom she married August 30, 1934; grandson, Todd Hoblit; and sister, Arlene Holsopple.

Evelyn was a member of the Greenville Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and the Greenville Moose. She loved fishing, playing cards, dancing and traveling, especially to Hawaii.

There will be no public services. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Abbottsville Cemetery in Darke County. Memorial contributions may be made to the Darke County Humane Society 7053 State Route 49 North Greenville, Ohio 45331.
