Joseph F. Henry age 91, of Versailles, Ohio passed away at 10:17 A.M. on Friday, June 21, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton. Joseph was born June 15, 1922 in Darke County, Ohio to the late Harry & Mary (Didier) Henry.

Joseph is survived by his children, Deborah & Terry Ferguson of St. Marys, Diane & Leo Dunlap of Greenville, Joe & Sharon Henry of Versailles, Jeff & Robin Henry of Versailles, Brad & Penny Henry of Yorkshire, Bruce & Brenda Henry of Versailles and Brian Henry of Versailles; grandchildren, Danielle (Bill) Richardson, Denise (Bill) Rush, Deanna (Matt) Hoffman, Lori (Rob) Godown, John Dunlap, Abby (Joe) Stanger, Charlie (Beth) Henry, Anton Henry, Kristi (Jason) Gibson, Craig (Leann) Henry, Todd (Lindsey) Henry, Melissa Martino, Jeremy Henry, Justin Henry, Mindy Henry, Ashley Henry, Jordan Henry, Nathan Henry and Tyler Henry; great-grandchildren, Megan Richardson, Christopher Richardson, Alexis Rush, Billy Rush, Matthew Rush, Miles Hoffman, Logan Hoffman, Jared Godown, Jenna Godown, Jasen Godown, Maranda Dunlap, Brianna Dunlap, Alivia Dunlap, Cynthia Dunlap, Zoe Stanger, Sophia Stanger, Cale Henry, Samuel Henry, Keegan Gibson, Conner Gibson, Owen Gibson, Ashlyn Gibson, Lydia Henry and Kyleigh Paul; brothers, twin Alfred Henry of Versailles and Paul Henry of Versailles; sister, Bertha Bryan of Piqua; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Joseph is also preceded in death by his wife, Dolores (Dapore) Henry on October 14, 2005 whom he married June 13, 1946; brothers, Louis, John and James Henry; and sisters, Elizabeth Couchot, Magdalene Kley, Josephine Saintignon, Florence Bashore and Dorothy Zimmerman.

Joseph served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal. Joseph was a retired Dairy Farmer. He was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles, life member of the Versailles Knights of Columbus, member of the Disabled Veterans, member of Versailles Vets Club, former member of the Versailles School Board and former 4-H advisor.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles with Rev. Fr. David Vincent celebrant and Rev. Fr. Carl Subler con celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Valbert Cemetery in Versailles with Military graveside services conducted by the Versailles Veteran’s Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. and Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles. A prayer service will be held at 7:45 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home conducted by the Versailles Knights of Columbus. Memorial contributions may be made to the Versailles Veteran’s Honor Guard. Tracy Lee Crawford, 27, of Greenville, Ohio, Passed away early Wednesday, June 19, 2013, in Eaton, Ohio.

She was born March 31, 1986, in Baltimore, Maryland, a daughter of Charlene (Thomas) Rothen and the late Donald Crawford, Sr..

In addition to her father, Tracy was preceded in death by her daughter, Adahlyn Dyson and her grandparents, George and Helen (Matheny) Crawford.

She is survived by her son, Ashdon Dyson of New Madison, Ohio, mother, Charlene (Thomas) Rothen, of Dayton, Ohio; a brother, Donald Crawford of Greenville, Ohio; a sister, Tina Thompson of Inwood, WV; Aunt and uncle, Florence and Steve Hoffman of Greenville, Ohio; special friends, Mike Dyson and Amanda Farley of New Madison, Ohio; cousins, Jason, Justin and Jessica Hoffman and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Joe Soley officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Union Cemetery.

The family will be receiving friends at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville on Monday, June 24, from 5 to 7 P.M.

Ralph Wayne Henning age 66, of Ansonia, Ohio passed away at 6:20 P.M. on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at his residence. Ralph was born April 16, 1947 in Darke County, Ohio to Mary E. (Shell) Lane of Ansonia and the late John Alvin Henning.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Sandra Lee (Sanders) Henning whom he married August 10, 1968; son, Chris Henning of Ansonia; daughter & son-in-law, Cathy & David Wolfe of Greenville; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; brothers & sisters-in-law, Leonard & Robin Baker of Greenville and Allen & Lindsey Newbauer of Ansonia; sisters & brother-in-law, Mary & John Rismiller of Ansonia, Wilma Flack of Ansonia, Martha Everman of Ansonia, Bertha Archey of Belle Center and Dixie Gray of Greenville; brother-in-law, Chester Sanders of Springfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Ralph is also preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Florence Baker; fathers-in-law, Leonard Sanders and Wilbur Baker; and grandparents, Alvin & Minnie Henning.

Ralph was retired. He was baptized into the Lutheran Church.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Dennis Riffell officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Miriam K. Dull age 97, of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 12:50 P.M. on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville. Miriam was born January 16, 1916 in Miami County, Ohio to the late Ira & Ida (Wehneman) Rhoades.

Miriam is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, Dennis & Rose Dull of Greenville, Steve & Pam Dull of Greenville and David Dull & fiancée, LuAnn Ellerman on Milwaukee, Wisconsin; daughters & son-in-law, Barbara & Mike Miller of Knoxville, Tennessee and Katherine Eardly & life partner, Alan Gribble of Zionsville, Indiana; and 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Miriam is also preceded in death by her husband, Jefferson L. Dull; son-in-law, Mark G. Eardly; and brother & sister-in-law, Luther & Mary Rhoades.

Miriam was a homemaker. She was a lifetime member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Covington, Ohio.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Friedens Lutheran Church 11038 West Versailles Rd. Covington with Rev. Robert Akins officiating. Barbara K. Miller 68, of Rossburg, Ohio, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013 at her residence with her family by her side.

She was born April 22, 1945 in Greenville, OH, daughter of Bonnie (Hiestand) Strait-Rutschilling of Greenville, OH, formally of Rossburg, OH and the late Gerald Keith Strait. In addition to her father Barbara, was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Funk.

Barbara was homemaker, a member of the Ansonia United Methodist Church and had held the position of fiscal officer for the village of Rossburg, OH.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Miller; sons,Troy (Tina) Miller of Rossburg, Kerry (Tina) Miller of Kitty Hawk, NC; grandchildren, Madyson Miller, Mikeal Warren, Shelby and Miles Miller; sister-in-law, Sara (Jim) Fast of Celina, OH; and numerous nieces, newphews and friends.


Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville, OH with the Rev. Ron Hoeksema officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.

Ned J. Downing, 90, of Estero, Florida and formerly of New Madison, Ohio, passed away on June 26, 2013. Ned was born on November 14, 1922 in Darke County, Ohio to the late Jack and Miriam Mae (Horn) Downing.

Ned, along with his wife Mary Alice, owned and operated the Fort Black Buffet in New Madison, Ohio from 1968 until 1982. Ned faithfully served in the United States Army during WWII. He was a championship horseshoe pitcher, enjoyed racing horses and was a jockey. In his youth, he rode show horses. Ned was a member of the 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Free Masons, a member of the New Madison Masonic Lodge, was involved with the Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of the Masonic Shriners.

Ned is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Mary Alice Downing in 1997; two brothers, Richard Downing and his twin, Ted Downing.

Ned is survived by son and daughter in law, Dennis and Dawn Downing of Estero, Florida; a daughter, Linda J. Downing of Saranac, Michigan; two grandchildren, Deborah Downing and fiancé, Christopher K. Halbower of Wyoming, Michigan and Natalie J. and Travis Sinquefield of Byron Center, Michigan; two great grandchildren, Andrew P. and Emily E. Sinquefield; two nephews, Chris Willetts and Kim Willetts, both of New Madison, Ohio; and a niece, Sue VonAshen of Piqua, Ohio.

A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, July 1, 2013 at 11:00 am at Braund Pope Funeral Home in New Madison, Ohio. The family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will be held at Greenmound Cemetery in New Madison, Ohio. Full military honors will be presented by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard and the New Madison Masonic Lodge will hold a lodge of sorrow just prior to services at the funeral home. Vernon Eugene Chambers, 80, of New Madison, OH, passed away Friday evening, June 28, 2013, at the Reid Hospital in Richmond, IN.

He was born December 2, 1932 in Preble County, OH, son of the late Harry and Bertha (Shaffer) Chambers.

On December 7, 1956, he married the love of his life, Evelyn Irene Neal. His wife of 56 years survives along with two daughters, Deborah (Debbie) and husband Steve Green of Tipp City, OH, and Kimberly (Kim) and husband Brad Berner of Greenville, OH; four grandchildren, Lance and Kami Berner, Michelle and Michael Green; two step grandchildren, Nicole Green Prusak and Scott Green; three step great grandchildren, Alexis and Tessa Prusak, and Harper Green; a brother, Richard (Dick) Chambers of New Madison, OH; three sisters, Mabel (Harry) Schweizer of Richmond, IN, Wanda (Jerry) Butt of Sebring, FL, and Nina (Dale) Royer of New Paris, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Vernon was preceded in death by two sisters, Susan Jay and Dorothy Murphy.

Vernon retired from Humidaire Incubator Company in New Madison. He also had worked at Flaig Lumber, Lewisburg Container, and part owner of a garage in Pitsburg, OH. He was a veteran of the US Army from 1953-1954 having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Abbottsville United Methodist Church.

Services will be held at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 3, at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Chris Harris officiating. Burial with full military honors by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard will follow in the Greenville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 5-7 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to either the Abbottsville United Methodist Church or the charity of the donor's choice.

Richard L. Puterbaugh, 66, of Greenville, passed away Sunday morning, June 30, 2013, at his residence.

He was born May 18, 1947 in Miami County.

Leon was retired from Baylor Trucking, having driven for them for over 20 years. He was an avid collector of artifacts and enjoyed going to shows and showing what he had collected. He was a member of the Ohio and Indiana Archaeological Societies, and the NRA.

He is survived by his wife of many years, Mary (DeFord) Puterbaugh; children, Leann Puterbaugh and Richard L. Puterbaugh, Jr.; and a sister, Cindy Hilliard.

There will be no services.

The family requests that memorial contributions be given to State of the Heart Hospice.

Arrangements have been entrusted with the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville.

She was born January 19, 1930 in Miami County, Ohio the daughter of the late Ota Ray & Sarah Elizabeth (Heckman) White. She worked at Fram Corp General Film; and as a scrap metal recycler. She was a member of the Druids Lodge of Richmond, Indiana; the women of the Eagles; Ladies of the Moose; and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

She is preceded in death by her parents; great grandson: Zachary Harrison Baker; 4 brothers & 1 sister.

She is survived by her children & spouses: Tom Landis of Crestline, California, Steve & Cindy Landis of Greenville, Janice Pittsenbarger of Greenville, Don & Janie Landis of Versailles, Elaine & Charles Harrison of Laura, Ohio, Mike E. Landis of Union City, Indiana; 13 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sister: Thelma Pittman of Piqua; Loving Companion: Marshall “Jim” Stikeleather and his family.

Services will be held on Saturday July 6, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Terry Campbell officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday July 5, 2013 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Association of Darke County.

Robert H. Byrum, 96, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away early Tuesday morning, July 2, 2013, at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville.

He was born December 25, 1916 in Darke County, Ohio, a son of the late Eli and Jennie (Stump) Byrum. In addition to his parents, he was in death by his 1st wife, Blanche (Crabbs) Byrum; 2nd wife, Ethel May (Fraze) Byrum; step daughter, Janet K. Baker; sister, Goldie Kuhlman.

Bob was retired from the Union City Body Company after working there 39 years. He was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Greenville, Greenville Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite of Dayton, York Rite of Darke County and the Shriners of Dayton.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Rudy) Byrum; a daughter, Carolyn (Owen) Beam of Union City, OH; a son, Larry (Alice) Byrum of The Villages, FL; step children, Martha Albright of Englewood, OH, Wayne E. Baker of Greenville, Greg (Darlene) Grubb of Greenville, Cinda (Tom) Deeter of New Madison, OH; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren;3 great great grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; 5 step great grandchildren.

Services with a Masonic Memorial Serivce and Scottish Rite Ring Service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, July 5, 2013 at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Gary Oser officiating. Burial will follow in Lisbon Cemetery near Union City.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 11 am to 1 p.m. The family request that memorial contributions be given to either the Shriners Children's Hospital or Charity of Donor's Choice.

Wanda E. (Irvine) Ray, 85, of Fountain City, Indiana passed away on July 1, 2013 at Reid Hospital in Richmond. Wanda was born on March 27, 1928 in New Madison, Ohio to the late Elmer and Mildred (Hill) Irvine.

Wanda worked for the Belden Company in Richmond for 43 years. She was a 1947 graduate of New Madison School. Wanda enjoyed gardening, quilting, and working in the orchard with her fruit trees. She was also known for being a great cook.

In addition to her parents, Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Ray who passed away on December 2, 2006 and a sister, Treva Hofacker.

Wanda is survived by a step son, James D. Ray; two step grandsons; a step great granddaughter; two nieces; three nephews; special friends, Tom and Marilyn Delk and their children that Wanda considered her children, Jeff and Shari and grandchildren, Travis, Wyatt and Serena; and a brother, Gene and Evelyn Irvine.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Eric Fee officiating.

Elmer H. Stuck age 96, of Versailles, Ohio passed away at 12:30 P.M. on Monday, July 1, 2013 at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville. Elmer was born February 14, 1917 in North Star, Ohio to the late Carl & Bertha (Rismiller) Stuck.

Elmer is survived by a son & daughter-in-law, George & Marcella Stuck of Versailles; daughter & son-in-law, Nancy & Rick Shepherd of Greenville; grandchildren, Angela R. & Mike Rosengarden, Aimee M. & Steve Hoelscher, Jeffery A. Stuck, Amanda N. & Kurt Bergman, Jennifer L. & Mike Masters, Matthew H. & Melanie Gibson, Jason L. & Kristi Gibson and Joshua R. Gibson; step grandchildren, Shelly & Doug Williams, Todd & Natasha Shepherd and Latavia Knipp; 22 great-grandchildren and 8 step great-grandchildren; brother & sister-in-law, Pastor John & Barbara Stuck of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Elmer is also preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Edith (Faulkner) Stuck on June 8, 1990 whom he married January 10, 1946 in Boston, Massachusetts; brothers, Pastor Werner Stuck and Harold J. Stuck; and sisters, Edith Brandt and Caroline Isenhouer.

Elmer retired from farming after 60 years; he enjoyed farming and was still active up to his death. Elmer formerly worked at Frigidaire in Dayton for 9 years. Elmer served in the U.S. Navy during WWII where he was a Pharmacist Mate. Elmer was a lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in North Star and the church choir; life member of the North Star American Legion Post 174; and life member of the Darke County Farm Bureau. Elmer enjoyed his family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, July 5, 2013 at St. Paul Lutheran Church 13495 Greenville-St. Marys Rd. Versailles with Pastor Laura Shreffler officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery with Military graveside services conducted by the North Star American Legion Post 174. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 4, 2013 from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles and Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Darke County Cancer Association, State of the Heart Hospice or St. Paul Lutheran Church Building Fund. Thomas is survived by his wife, Sharon (Gehle) Henry whom he married June 28, 1980; daughter, René L. Henry & Agnieszka Drobniak of Bloomington, Indiana; son, Charles Thomas Henry of Columbus, Ohio; sisters & brother, Norma & Rich Nerderman of New Bremen, Jan Russell of Troy, Ruth Henry of Botkins, Cathy & John Shue of North Star, Sue Henry of Lima, Judy Henry of Versailles, Sharon & Duane Goubeaux of Greenville and Don & Zita Henry of Versailles; brother-in-law, Julius Hierholzer of North Star; mother-in-law, Myrna Gigandet of Versailles; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Max & Kris Gehle of Indian Lake, Sandy & Roger Grilliot of Versailles, Dennis & Tammie Gehle of Clayton, North Carolina and Mark & Deb Gehle of Yorkshire; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his parents, Thomas is also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Hierholzer; father-in-law, Delaine Gehle; and step father-in-law, Norman Gigandet.

Thomas worked at Midmark Corporation in Versailles for 35 years in Management, retiring on July 2, 2010. Thomas was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles and the Versailles Knights of Columbus. Thomas enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially golfing.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles with Rev. Fr. Jim Simons celebrant. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery in Frenchtown. The family will receive friends on Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. and Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles. Betty Lucille Youst,87, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Heartland of Greenville.

She was born February 17, 1926 in Greenville, Ohio, daughter of the late Pearla and Thelma (Poock) Aten. Married Feb, 1944 in Arcanum, Ohio to Paul Youst, Jr. who passed away on August 11, 1987. In addition to her husband, Paul, she was preceded in death two sons, Paul Henry and Charles Ronald Youst, a granddaughter, Tamara Baker Ware.

She is survived by two daughters, Darlene (Larry) McGuire of Greenville and Becky (Larry) Baker of Ansonia, daughter-in-law, Linda (Dick) Youst Blumestock, of Florida. Three grandsons Donnie (LuAnn) Brickler, Danny (Julie) and Chad Youst all of Greenville. Two granddaughters, Michelle (John) Hoehne of Houston and Kimberly (Scott) Kelly of Centerville, Ohio. Thirteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 12 p.m., Monday, July 8, 2013 at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with Chaplain Candy Null. Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The family request the memorial contributions be given to State of the Heart Hospice.

Johnny Lee Poling, 64, of Union City, Ohio, formerly of West Virginia, passed away, July 4, 2013 at his residence.

He was born May 10, 1949 in Moatsville, WV, a son of the late Wilbert Lee and Geneva Marie (McCauley) Poling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Marie Martino, Anna Kathleen Lipscomb, and Georgia Lee Poling.

John was a member of the Upper Room Church of God in Greenville, Ohio and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Union City, Ohio.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Jones) Poling; children, John Edward (Romine) Poling and Tammy Lou Poling both of Cumberland, Maryland; stepson, Robert Matthew Leggett; sisters, Lefa Dale Smith of Clearfield, KY and Lula Bell McNeil of Grand Rapids, Ohio; brothers Garris Glen (Eva) Poling of Gore, Virgina, Scotty Steven Poling of Winchester, Virginia, and Robert Micheal Kaposy of Swanton, Ohio.

Services will be held at 12 pm, Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at the Perine Funeral Home in Shinnston, West Virginia. Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Philippi, West Virginia.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 10am until time of service at 12 noon.

Esther C. Bulcher, 91, of Versailles, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at 12:37 PM at Wayne HealthCare, Greenville, Ohio. She was born on June 3, 1922 in Darke County, Ohio, to the late Herbert & Rose (Jansen) Wimmers.

She is survived by her husband Francis E. Bulcher of Versailles, Ohio, whom she married on June 20, 1946; children and spouses, John & Linda Bulcher, Joan & Larry Roll of Versailles, Carol & Marc Motter of Birmingham, Alabama, Rebecca & Peter Nasseri of Clearwater, Florida, David & Sandy Bulcher of Powell, Ohio and Margaret Rhoades of Greenville, Ohio; grandchildren, Laura Bulcher, Jennifer Walters, Andrea Subler, Shawn Roll, Dawn Todd, Vanessa Cusimano, Nathan Yokoyama, Eric Yokoyama, Tyler Bulcher, Jordan Bulcher, Justin Rhoades, Joshua Rhoades and Jesse Rhoades; 10 great grandchildren; 1 step great grandchild; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son in law Robert Rhoades.

Esther was a homemaker and a member of St. Denis Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, as well as an Auxiliary member of the DAV. She taught CCD and served on the funeral lunch committee for several years. She enjoyed playing cards and was in a card club for 46 years with her husband Francis.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held on Monday, July 8, 2013 at 10:30 AM at St. Denis Catholic Church, Versailles, Ohio, with Rev. Fr. Jim Simons celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Valbert Cemetery, Versailles, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Sunday, July 7, 2013 from 4-7 PM at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio, as well as Monday from 9:30-10 at the funeral home.

Miss Elnora Lucille Miller, 91 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Saturday July 6, 2013 at 6:03 AM at Heartland of Greenville. She was born October 27, 1921 in Adams Twp., Darke Co. the youngest daughter of late Adnah and Pearl (Mauer) Miller. She was a member of Oakland Church of the Brethren. She worked for 31 years at General Athletic Products and enjoyed the monthly socializing with the GAP Lunch Bunch. Past President and founder of the Gettysburg Alumni Association. She was an inactive member of local Iota Iota chapter and Past Ohio State President of Phi Beta Psi Sorority. She is well known for never forgetting a birthday or anniversary - she sent out dozens of cards each year to friends and family and received the same in return.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Forest Joy Miller and sisters, Grace DeWeese, Mabel and Ruth Miller.

She is survived by her nieces Phyllis (Robert) Cole, Donna Jean (Roland) Erisman and Shirley (Dan) Hollinger and nephew Forest Joe (Marge) Miller. Her numerous great nieces and great nephews include Susan (late Ron) Hohler, Alan (Pam) Cole, Mike (Beth) Cole, Jeff (Carol) Cole // Doug Erisman, Ed (Amy) Erisman, Eric (Mary Beth) Erisman, Chris (Felicia) Erisman, Karen (Joel) Avore, Cheryl (David) O'Connor // Lisa and Cathy Jo Miller. And many great-great nieces and nephews. As well as her wonderful second family the caring staff and fellow residence of Heartland of Greenville.

Services will be held on Wednesday July 10, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor John Sgro officiating. Burial will follow in Harris Creek Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday July 9, 2013 at the funeral home.

Joshua P. Francis age 31, of Versailles, Ohio passed away at 9:55 A.M. on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at his residence. Joshua was born February 21, 1982 in Sidney, Ohio to Mic (Smith) & Jack Tilton of Troy and Mark & Cheryl Francis of (Webster) Bradford.

Joshua is survived by his children, Kamryn Witt-Francis, Kyron Witt-Francis and Gunnar Francis; significant other, Dana Spurlock of Troy; brother & sister-in-law, Damon & Diana Francis of Ft. Loramie; sister & brother-in-law, Shanna & James Hoelscher of Coldwater; step brothers, Miles & Ashley Saintignon of Versailles and Randy Tilton of Tipp City; paternal grandmother, Ida (Partin) Francis of Sidney; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joshua is preceded in death by a step brother, Nathan Saintignon; maternal grandparents, James William & Irene (Baker) Smith; and paternal grandfather, Henry Norbert Francis.

Joshua was employed at Weaver Brothers in Versailles.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor David Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in St. Valbert Cemetery in Versailles. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. and Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home. Susan Midlam, 59, of New Madison, passed away on July 5, 2013 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. Susan was born on May 13, 1954 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Ralph and Edna (Saylor) Midlam.

Susan was a 1972 graduate of New Madison High School, a graduate of Ohio Northern University, and a 1983 graduate of Wright State University where she received her Masters in Education. She enjoyed reading and listening to Christian and classical music. Susan loved children and enjoyed working at Woodland Alters summer camps when she was younger. She had attended church at Cedar Grove Church of the Brethren since 1959 and was baptized into the church April 16, 1966. Susan was also involved in the Emmaus Community. She worked as a 3rd grade Math teacher at Tri Village Schools from August 1978 thru present.

In addition to her parents, Susan is preceded in death by a brother, John Midlam.

Susan is survived by her niece, Amy Midlam of Vandalia; great nieces, Ashlyn Marburger, Shelby Marburger and Kristen Marburger, and a great-great nephew, Colin Marburger.

A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Cedar Grove Church of the Brethren with Rev. Tony Price officiating. Friends may call at the church from 9:00-11:00 AM before the service on Thursday. The family requests memorial contributions be given to Cedar Grove Church of the Brethren in honor of Susan.
